HB 0266 (Truly Agreed) Limits to whom real estate brokers and agents may pay commissions or other consideration
Current Bill Summary
- Prepared by Senate Research -

HB 266 - This act prohibits real estate brokers and agents from paying a commission or other valuable consideration unless reasonable cause for payment or contract exists. Persons are prohibited from soliciting or requesting compensation without good cause, interfering with a written relationship of another licensee. Violations will be grounds for disciplinary proceedings. Nothing in the chapter will prevent consumers from joining organizations which can negotiate reduced real estate costs or which would limit the ability of an employer to restrict employers and employees who are complying with the terms of a relocation package.
